Vi får besøk av Tina Davis og Lara Bianchi fra Access to Remedy Hub ved Nottingham University Business School.

Dr Tina Davis is a Norwegian business and human rights specialist and senior research fellow. She currently works at the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab, where she co-leads a national baseline assessment of the UK’s implementation of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) commissioned by the UK Government.

Tina’s research has primarily focused on migrant workers, recruitment, and forced labour across agriculture and fishing; garment and textiles; construction; and mineral industries in countries including Norway, Australia, the UK, Peru, South Africa, Bangladesh, and China. She also advises and provides training to businesses, governments, and organisations globally. She has advised the Norwegian Government on the design of the Transparency Act and the Australian Government on the Modern Slavery Act. In addition, she conducted a global modern slavery mapping for the Norwegian Government that informed its Development Program to Combat Modern Slavery. Tina has extensive experience working directly with businesses on training, assessments, and research.

Dr Lara Bianchi is an Associate Professor in Business & Society at Nottingham University Business School, where she is currently Research Director of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Sustainability Department.

Her work on access to remedy started in 2018 with a commissioned report for the UN Human Rights Office on non-state-based access to remedy. Since then, mixing academic research with impact-related projects, Lara’s main research focus has been the recognition of an active and positive role of businesses in the provision of remedy, and the importance of meaningful stakeholder engagement in any remedial system. More recently, she has led a policy impact project on Access to Remedy for Migrant Workers in the UK (2023-2024). In May 2025, she was an invited speaker at the Global Recruitment Forum in Bangkok, where she discussed the links between responsible recruitment, prevention of workers’ abuses, and effective access to remedy.

Agenda
