The Dhaka Principles for Migration with Dignity are a set of human rights-based principles to enhance respect for the rights of migrant workers from the moment of recruitment, during employment, and through to safe return. They are intended for use by all industry sectors and in any country where workers migrate either inwards or outwards.

The Dhaka Principles were developed over a two year period in consultation with a range of stakeholders including the International Trade Union Confederation, the World Employment Confederation, the ILO, global companies including recruitment agencies, grassroots and international NGOs and a number of governments.

Frances House, Senior Advisor and former Deputy Chief Executive at the world leading think-and-do tank Institute for Human Rights and Business, took part in the process of developing these principles. She will provide a workshop with an introduction to the Dhaka Principles.

Agenda

Dhaka Principles består av 10+2 prinsipper. Gi gjerne beskjed hvis det er ønskelig å gå i dybden på ett eller flere av prinsippene og i så fall hvilke(t), innen fredag 19. desember 😊
